Maggie's Puppies

The puppies are four weeks old today and full of energy and spunk! They love wrestling with each other to learn how to growl and bark and run. They all are zonked after playing, and are often found sleeping in a big dog pile! Earlier this week, we gave them their first taste of puppy food. They had no problem chowing down and LOVE meal time. Today was their first experience with grass and they loved exploring and feeling the new texture. It's easy to see why everyone is smitten with these adorable puppies! We have most claimed at this moment (all but 2!) but text to see who is still available if interested. The puppies have all opened their eyes and are starting to walk on all fours now! We watched them playing with each other for the first time last night and they were cracking us up! We are starting to see their individual personalities and which ones are the leaders of the pack. We already have a couple escape artists on our hands who have figured out how to get out of the kiddie pool.. time to get a new setup for them this week! We finally decided on some temporary names for them until they go to their forever homes: Walter Walter is the first born puppy and gets his name from Walter White (Breaking Bad anyone?) because he is the lightest in color and looks white compared to his siblings. He was the heaviest weight at birth and continues to be one of the biggest pups but usually trades off with one of his brothers from day to day. Maggie gave birth early in the morning to six puppies on Friday, October 27, 2017. The first puppy was born at 3:08 AM and the last puppy came at 6:31 AM. She had 3 boys and 3 girls ranging in color from white to blonde to apricot brown to chocolate brown to black. We couldn't believe there had been 6 of them inside her! Her natural instincts took over during the entire birthing process and she knew exactly what to do! Maggie has been such an amazing mom in taking care of her sweet puppies! The puppies are F2b Goldendoodles ( 62.5% Poodle - 37.5% Golden Retriever)  and are multi-generation so they should have NO SHEDDING. That is one of my favorite things about Maggie! I never have to worry about whether or not I have dog hair over my clothes or not before I leave my house!

Mom & Dad Maggie is an F1b Goldendoodle apricot in color and around 45 lbs. The F1b classification means she is 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever. She is such a smart and people loving dog and has been so easy to train! She has made it easy to see why Goldendoodles are such a loved breed and is a well loved and spoiled member of our family!       Echo is an F1 Goldendoodle (50% Poodle, 50% Golden Retriever) black in color and around 60 lbs.
